hoodlum kids behind me? alright cool, whatever, gotta finish reading this grant proposal before my interview. Checked my phone a couple of times and thought to myself, “damn, I’m really early! Oh well, better safe than sorry.” All of the sudden, while the bus was still in transit, one of the kids run pass me, forces the double doors open, and heads in the opposite direction. I hear his friends laughing, talking about how crazy he is as they exit at the next stop. Alright cool, whatever. A couple of stops later, I get up to leave only to find myself phoneless. It was just me and a sweet old lady left on the bus. She even missed her stop to help me look for it! When it was obvious that it wasn’t there, she suggested the possibility of that kid taking it and making a run for it before I noticed. Sure, why not?
Anywho, she lent me her phone to call my interviewer (good thing I wrote her # down). I figured this was the only sure chance I could reach her, so I asked her to meet me outside of the hospital. So there I was, 2 hours early for my interview, sweaty, flustered, and angry. Not the greatest first impression ….
Sigh, good-bye iPhone. I better get this job!
